If your Horizon device is not connecting to Horizon Control after installing the software and driver, check the following macOS settings.
Allow Local Network Access for Horizon Control
Horizon Control requires access to your Mac's local network in order to communicate correctly with the Horizon Thunderbolt driver and connected Horizon devices.
If Local Network access was not allowed when Horizon Control was first opened:
- Open System Settings.
- Go to Privacy & Security > Local Network.
- Find Horizon Control.
- Make sure access is enabled.
Once enabled, reopen Horizon Control and check whether your Horizon device is now detected.
Check That the Horizon Driver Extension Is Enabled
In some cases, the Horizon driver extension may appear to have been allowed during installation but may not actually be enabled.
If your Horizon device is still not connecting:
- Open System Settings.
- Go to the macOS Login Items & Extensions settings.
- Check that the Horizon driver extension is enabled.
- If it appears disabled, enable it.
- If enabling it does not initially take effect, open the extension settings again and allow the Horizon extension once more.
After confirming that the extension is enabled, reopen Horizon Control and check the connection again.
If Horizon Control still does not detect your Horizon device after completing both checks, please contact Audient Support for further assistance.
