At the time of writing, the Apple TV+ is the only streaming application that directly supports ATMOS content playback via a USB output device such as our ORIA.
There isn't currently a native Netflix application for MacOS, and most web-browsers do not support ATMOS playback..
The situation is similar on Windows; you can play-back ATMOS media via VLC media player or similar apps, but most of these are still only able to interface with the Windows output device, which is only able to be set as a stereo (2-channel) output.
Unless you are using HDMI output and then somehow routing the audio back to ORIA via two ADAT cables, you need to use a DAW that is able to load a Video file with multi-channel audio, and directly route the audio channels appropriately, to properly play back a video file with multi-channel audio on Windows (which usually isn't ideal for general media streaming).
To playback ATMOS content via the AppleTV+ app, the setup is straight forward as shown below.
1. Ensure ORIA is set as the MacOS output device
2. Open 'Audio MIDI Setup', then on the ORIA device selection, click on 'Configure Speakers' and set the Configuration to '7.1.4' under Atmos.
3. Ensure the channel configuration below matches your ORIA configuration, then click 'Apply' and 'Done' to save the configuration
4. Check that the ORIA app shows signal on the first 12 channels during playback.
