Some Microphones will require a current to be sent to them via the microphone cable in order to function correctly. This is known as Phantom power and provides +48 Volts and up to 10ma of current to the microphone to power up its internal electronics.
EVO 8 can provide phantom power on all four of its outputs when connected to a USB-C port that can provide 1.5 amps of current. Almost all USB-C ports will be able to provide this but check with your computer manufacturer if you do have any issues.
If connected to a USB-A port, only two channels of phantom power can be used at any one time.
To enable phantom power on EVO 4, simply press the channel button you wish to use phantom power on and then press the 48v button. This will then remain lit red to remind you that you have phantom power on.
