V2.0.1
Release notes · 06/10/2026
Improvements and fixes in this update.
- Meters now move more smoothly and use fewer of your computer's resources when idle. The metering timeline also has a new mono sum strip.
- The default speaker layout is now called STEREO instead of 2.0.
- The room and metering headers now show the name of your current speaker layout, and update if you rename it.
- Clearer wording on several labels, including speaker layout selection and the messages shown when the routing matrix or metering panels are detached.
- The channel view panel is now labelled VIEW SETTINGS and has an eye icon on its handle. It starts hidden, remembers whether you left it open or closed, and now slides shut cleanly.
- Profile setup now shows a Horizon studio, and offers a link to Contact Support.
- The REFERENCE LEVEL function button now switches off automatically when you move the monitor level away from your reference level. It shows whether you're at reference, so it can't be switched off manually.
- Turning a headphone knob on the front panel is now smooth and responsive.
- Horizon Control now asks for local network access on macOS as expected, and restart prompts appear correctly.
- The mono button in the monitor header now shows its icon when engaged, and the FN button no longer shows a dropdown arrow.
- Updated Thunderbolt audio driver (v1.0.1), improving connection stability on some Macs.
- Firmware updates are more reliable and complete even if other software communicates with the unit during the update.
- Devices now have default names (for example "Horizon 8P", "Horizon 8P 2"), and you can rename them.
- Refreshed design for dialogs, including renaming and deleting.
- Simplified routing matrix layout.
- XLR input impedance now defaults to High.
- The installer is now called Audient Control Software, with a cleaner installation process.
- Speaker layout names are now shown in capitals.
