I am experiencing loss of functionality after my computer wakes from sleep. It says in your firmware notes that this had been fixed however it has not and I require additional support:

    Release Notes - iD14 - Version v1.0.7

    • Fixed issue preventing operation after the host computer wakes from sleep.
    • Clipping mix buses or inputs is now less harsh
    • Improved ADAT compatibility

I am having the exact same issues as mentioned above. Is there any fix on the way?

The issue still remains - the device disappears after waking up the computer from sleep on Windows 8.1. Here's the steps:

    1. The iD14 works normally
    2. Leave the computer, and eventually it goes into sleep by itself
    3. Return to the computer and wake it up by pressing on the keyboard (for example)
    4. Soon you are back in the Windows login screen
    5. When you get to the desktop, start any audio program, for example Cubase, Youtube, or a music player
    6. Start playing something
    7. On Youtube, the video does not move and is stuck at 0:00 time, and pause -> play does nothing
    8. In Cubase, the playhead starts moving but no sound comes out but the Master channel shows movement
    9. In a music player, depending on the player there is either no movement and it stays stuck at 0:00 time, or it starts moving but no sound comes out
    10. If you open the iD Mixer, nothing moves there. Changing the volume in the app does nothing - same if you spin the volume dial on the iD14

If you unplug the iD14 power and USB cables, and then plug them back in immediately, it resets the main and headphone volume to minimum. If you spin the dial up, you will hear the sound again and everything works normally.

This happens even with the latest (as of August 2018) driver and firmware.

They know, they don't care. They will just tell you that they have never seen this problem before even though they have people on their own forums with the same problem as mine. I reached out and they tried telling me to reinstall my entire operating system on a damn near brand new computer. Their tech support is unbelievably catty and has no real solutions but to blame the user for a faulty product.

Their ID program makes the problem worse make sure it is never on. Always right click and quit ID in the tasktray. In windows sound settings you can change your sample rate and change it back and sometimes this turns the sound back on and the interface will reconnect.

The description from Vortech is perfect (just to add, the issue is the same on windows 10). I have tried reinstalling drivers to no avail, but I am genuinely shocked at the lack of response from audient especially given the price of the product.

Same issue here on Windows 10 with a newer Dell XPS 8930. For me the problem is intermittent, most of the time the ID14 will continue working after sleep, two or three times a week it will not.

Playback symptoms are similar to Vortech's. I have also noticed that the speaker volume knob in the ID mixer app is stuck at max (all the way to the right) and can't be moved in the app or on the hardware.

Quickest fix is to reboot the PC. Unplugging the USB cable from the ID14 and re-plugging works also (turn off your monitors first to avoid a pop noise).

Workarounds I had high hopes for but ultimately made no difference:

Stopping/restarting the windows audio and windows endpoint audio builder services.
Disabling/Enabling the ID14 from Device Manager.
    Disabling/Enabling the ID14 from Powershell (Disable-PnpDevice, Enable-PnpDevice).

I might add that it happens less often nowadays (latest driver and firmware) than it did before with earlier drivers, but it still does happen occasionally.

Btw, in the latest iD software (4.0.1) there is a bug in Windows 8.1. If you open the "Check for Updates" or "About ID" dialogs, the "OK" button and close button do not work. You need to go via the taskbar icon and go to the small preview window of them to close them with the small X in the preview window. It used to work in previous versions.

In case this helps anyone else, there is a Windows freeware utility - USBTreeView by Uwe Sieber - that will map out and display your entire USB setup and allow you to restart the hung port with the ID14. Right click the port with the Audient in the tree and select restart port. You will likely need to run the utility with administrator privileges.

Worth a download just see what devices are plugged in to various hubs. I'm going to try moving the ID14 around to different ports to see if I can isolate it on a root hub separate from my other devices.

Also wondering if using the external power supply would make any difference? I'm running without it.

Thanks for the tip on USBTreeView, I will try it. The power supply makes no difference by the way.
